After completing six years as a loaner from the
Jesuits, Father Burke has moved on to academic life as a graduate student
at The New College of Social Research in New York City. He
will complete his Doctoral studies there.
In appreciation for his efforts here, a Farewell reception was held on
Sunday, June 28. A large crowd enjoyed the great spread of food provided
and the opportunity to give Father their best wishes.
This event was preceded by Father celebrating his last
Sunday Mass in the parish. That Mass was highlighted by a marvelous music
finale performed by our choir and some invited musicians from the area.
Our Music Director, Catherine Schane-Lydon, was responsible for the
wonderful presentation. Brief segments of the music can be viewed from the
