| Although the announcement of the appointment of Father
Wayne as Pastor of the Parish had been made earlier, an official
celebration occurred at the 10:30 Mass on January 24. The event was
blessed by the presence of Bishop Timothy McDonnell to participate in the
Mass and bestow the new responsibilities on Father Wayne. The celebration
was enhanced by a most inspiring music program. Parishioners all but
danced in the aisles. The Mass was followed by a
lovely reception in the Church hall, attended by an overwhelming number of
family, friends and parishioners.
