Diane has recently joined our Parish coming to us from a similar
position at St. Charles Church in Pittsfield, MA, which she held for five
years.
She is a Californian by birth, was raised primarily in Indiana, and
studied in New York City.
Diane received a Bachelors degree form Barnard College in English and
then went on to receive a Bachelors in Voice from the prestigious Julliard
School of Music. On completing her studies, she pursued a career in
classical singing in New York. A call to leave the city and find a
quiet rural area led her to the Berkshires.
Her musical talents include the playing of the piano, which she
teaches, the organ and the guitar. She is presently a visiting voice
teacher at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
Her spare time is spent writing music and songs. She loves the
work because music and teaching gives her a chance to express herself. As music
director she conducts the adult choir, the youth choir
and the bell choir.
