 Deacon
Frank Ryan has come to St. Patrick and St. Raphael Parish from the
nearby parish of St. Anthony in North Adams. He and his wife, Kathleen,
presently reside in Florida, MA. They have been residents of Berkshire
County for almost 20 years; thus they are very familiar with the area.
They are parents of two children and five "wonderful
grandchildren".
Deacon Frank served in the Marines, and possesses a
PhD in Education. He has worked in education, both as a teacher and an
administrator. He also has worked in the industrial sector in the area
of Human Resources.
He was ordained as a Deacon on May 5, 2001; thus,
recently celebrating his sixth anniversary.
Besides his assignment in our parish, he is on the
Board of Directors for the Diaconate Council and auditor for the
Diocesan Tribunal. The couple also are very involved in the Take and Eat
meals ministry that they started in 2003. They currently have 27
parishes involved in this program. Last year alone this program served
22,500 meals to homebound elders.
