Reverend Michael Lillpopp, Pastor

Father Michael C. Lillpopp is a native of Cheshire, Massachusetts, and was educated in the public schools there and in Dalton, Mass.  He earned a Master of Divinity degree and a Baccalaureate of Sacred Theology from St. Mary Seminary & University in Baltimore, Maryland; a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. John Seminary in Boston, Mass., and an Associate of Applied Science degree from the Community College of the Air Force in Montgomery, Alabama.  He also attended the National Cryptologic School at Fort Meade, Maryland.  

Father Lillpopp was ordained a priest in 2005 and has served in parishes in the lower Pioneer Valley, the Berkshires, as well as Anchorage, Alaska.  He was the founding pastor of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish in West Springfield.  Father Lillpopp is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, with assignments in Germany, England, and Saudi Arabia.  He is also the co-founder of the Uganda Rural Fund, an international relief and non-governmental organization that serves severely impoverished children and adults in East Africa.  

Father Lillpopp began his service at Saints Patrick and Raphael Parish on August 1, 2014, and is happy to be back in the beautiful northern Berkshires!
