Something new is being tried this year. Please read the following carefully.

It has been our wish to integrate Mass with our religious education program but difficult to do because of having only one priest and a restriction regarding the number of Masses he can say on a weekend. SO, this is what we plan to try for  this year. As you can see, the schedule is for high school only has 2 class meetings per month, instead of 3-4, with the exception of March and May. We decided to lessen the class time in exchange for the students going to Mass each Sunday. REMEMBER, the Eucharist is what we are about as Catholics. Weekly attendance at  Mass for us is not a "Suggestion", it is an "OBLIGATION". therefore , in lieu of some class time we will expect to see them on Sunday. We will give each student slips to sign and hand in the collection basket each week. The slip is to help them be mindful of their commitment to attend Mass weekly. Think about it, what a wonderful way to begin a Sunday morning, to spend some time with Jesus in prayer as a family and possibly share a breakfast as well- an nice tradition for your children. We will periodically evaluate this change to see of our objectives are working and whether or not to continue next year.

Please remember that parents are always welcome and encouraged to help with special events and projects, share a talent - even teach! Should you be interested, please call Debbie Cameron at 458-5443 (office) or 458-5160
